In the Works!

Last night we met with the gals from the Chicks n Chaps committee, Shannone and Stacey, to create a very special two canvas piece to auction off at their event. Hopefully you're already signed up to attend... they're a sold out party at this point. Shelly and I are so looking forward to having a Faux Pink booth there. I'll preview the pieces that were started last night on the blog, so stay tuned!

Enjoyed Superior Relay

Now you can see the whole thing. Tonight was a lot of fun. When we left the bid on our piece was $230. Someone let me know how much money we raised tonight for the Cancer Society. Thanks for having us!!!!

Superior Relay for Life

Tonight we'll be attending the Relay for Life in Superior. We have finished the piece we started at the Health Fair using Kirsten as a model. We're excited to unveil this unique piece that shows keeping the spirit alive after cancer. Kirsten's favorite hobby is golf so that's the theme we went with. It's called " 'Green' Spirit ". I'm teasing you with a peek. Come bid tonight on this piece and let's raise some money for our cause. -Jill

Houska Girls a Hoot!

Shelly and I soooo enjoyed Tues night doing a 'girls night' with Char Houska and her three vivacious girls. They were fun, light hearted and creative. They all had great ideas for their own pieces that will reflect their very unique personalites. The middle girl, Jocelynn (sp?) had a svelte woman in mind to go with her prints. I love the simplicity yet strength of this piece we're naming "Beautiful Soul".

Unveiling a Success!

Yesterday was a big day for Faux Pink. We had the unveiling of our 'Waves of Hope' piece in front of Community Medical Center's Breast Health facility. It was great to have some of the ladies that had contributed to the piece share in the festivities. Many people from the hospital and friends and family were there to lend their support. Take a minute to read the write up in the Missoulian. Check www.missoulian.com - news section 7/2/09 under Vision of Hope.
