Couple new pieces to share.... We've completed all the canvas' from our first workshop and are excited to see what the next one will bring. It could be you ladies. Let us know if we can make a piece for you or one of your family members that has been touched by breast cancer.
We're wanting to go to the Susan G Komen - 'Race for the Cure' in Helena on May 16th. Let's fill a couple cars and go support the cause.

Things are going well with the biz. We had our first workshop on Sunday and delivered the first two custom canvas' and have 3 more to do. They were received with lots of smiles. Everyone is so excited to see the final product, including us. It's been a fun project. We're meeting with potential new clients on Sunday, a women's retreat. We'll be able to share lots of prevention info there and do lots of canvas'.

See pictures from the party and the productions there after.

Yesterday Shelly and I met with Colleen, Sara and Alta of the Montana Breast and Cervical Foundation at the Missoula County Health Dept. We were invited to speak at the next Breast Cancer Coalition mtg in June. We received information on the national grant process where, women who qualify, receive free breast and cervical exams, follow up and even treatment. We are excited to promote this great program.

We met with Astarna Development regarding our new web site. We're excited to see that up and running soon. Watch for www.fauxpink.org.

Cheyenne Rivers is working on our brochure. There'll be a real breast print on each one :)

Faux Pink - Women's Health Awareness through Art

We are starting an organization in Missoula Montana that will be based upon creating custom painted canvases using actual breast imprints. The mission is to save lives, heal emotions and educate women on early cancer prevention. Women go to either a workshop or private consultation and make a custom piece. The canvas' can be donated or kept as a momento of their beauty and spirit. We are seasoned faux artists that wanted to give back and help a cause that is very near and dear to our hearts. Shelly is a high risk breast cancer patient whose maternal and paternal grandmothers died from breast cancer. Jill is a cervical cancer survivor. Keep watching as we work to create and mold our organization and seek non-profit status. We are excited about the opportunities ahead of us.
